If you think the evil effects of Female Genital Mutilation are being exaggerated by all these NGOs, then you’ve got to meet me. My mother wishes she had known all the dangers of FGM before she did it to me.
I am a circumcised female and whatever they cut away when they mutilated my genitals has left me empty and incomplete. I am in my late twenties now and sex has been a nightmare, all pain no pleasure. I have spent so many years crying and feeling bad about it, but i really want to move forward by finding a solution that will ease my pain. I am just wondering if there is anyone who has had the same experience and will be willing to share how they moved past it.

The first step to finding a solution is to first understand what your problem is. We recommend you get a medical assessment on the type of FGM you went through, the extent of the damage and if there is any thing that can be done to rectify it. In some FGM cases some surgeries can be done to rectify it, in some cases there is little or nothing that can be done. However, a lot can still be done to help a woman that has gone through FGM to achieve sexual satisfaction. If you can afford it, you can see a sex therapist, if not there are many useful books and online resources
that can help you.

im so sorry dis is happenin to you. I am a circumcised female also but in my case i enjoy sex to a large extent. I reach orgasm 80% of the time wen i have sex, though i must confess i ve not had multiple orgasm. Havin said dat, dear sis, i suggest you seek professional help. Also your partner can assist by being patient and willing to stimulate you enough to enjoy sex. Above all , free ur mind. It is possible to have a great time on bed inspite of FGM
