How Should I Respond To Offensive Anonymous Comments By Friends?

By A Dissapointed Blogger

I published an article that attracted many comments on my blog recently.

Two of the comments were anonymous and really offensive. They were more directed at attacking me rather than disagreeing with the post, which was even written by a guest blogger. When I read them I guessed who the two people were, they had unknowingly given out themselves by some things they said.

I didn’t have any proof so I let it go. Some weeks later I discovered there is a way I could know who they were through their IP addresses. I did and was shocked to see that my guess was right.

They are  friends and I thought we were friends too. The sad thing is that they have been carrying on like they wish me well and love my blog.

As much as I will like to pretend like it is nothing I can’t get over the fact that they could hide behind anonymousity to tarnish my image and discredit my work while they say nice things to my face. Should I just pretend like I don’t know what they did or confront them about it?

I think you should confront them, though there’s a possibility that they would deny, the confrontation is needed for you to move on, and for them to feel as stupid as they are. A true friend should should not hide behind ”anonymous” to give their nasty comments, true friends do ‘face to face” nasty.

I would advice that you confront them about it or else your relationship with them will never be the same again. If you don’t your friendship with them will remain awkward and tensed which is not healthy. Confront them and let it go…

I personally don’t think you should confront them….They are haters and now you know them…They are wolves in sheep’s clothing…Those are the people you call weak elements who find strength in bringing others down and thank goodness they found a way out…hiding behind the computer…..What will resolving it with them get you?…More drama…afterall the “friendship” you have is not genuine. So why bother…

You’ve got to realize this is not real word…it is cyber world…treat it as such…Some people get a kick from hating on others. And when you call yourself a blogger…hoping to take it to the next level…You’ve gotta be ready to take the good, bad and ugly….Ask famous bloggers…they know all about it…You gotta brace and ignore them…

Avoid them if you can, but if you can…. pretend like you never knew….And gurl…suck it up! It is cyber word …shit happens.
Keep doing what you are doing….Haters gon keep hating….I bet they read this already…So they know you know them…If they want to come clean with you, sure!…let them….Otherwise I’d say scratch it!

By the way I just stumbled on this…I don’t really read blog…just felt like throwing this out there…..This is just an opinion…please treat as such!

Confronting them won’t change the evil that resides in them. Just carry on with them but cut off some of the priviledges they had to u and be very careful. That’s what I did.

I used to feel like you on posts attacking me in past. With time you will find this interesting as you will learn to accept people just the way they are. Take it easy and don’t give your energy to their low vibrations. However cut down some of the benefits you have accorded them in past and if they are clever they will keep guessing how you caught them. Do not confront them and with time you will be over it. People close to you are likely to offer much resistance and friction any time you make or seem to make a decision to leave them in their comfort zone. Never give you power by arguing to your critics.Even if you do so you won’t feel good as before, when you thought they were by your side. Refuse to yield to their negative energy.
