What Changed Your Life This Year
Being A Pastor’s Wife Changed My Life This Year.
I am Adebola Lemoshe, happily married to Taiwo Lemoshe and we are blessed with two awesome children. I’m an aspiring entrepreneur and leaning on God’s directive knowing he gives one power to make wealth.
I am a Pastor’s wife and a working class mother. Though these roles are pretty tasking, I surge ahead each time I remember there are goals to achieve. My motivation comes from God’s words, trusting in Him and relying solely on his grace.
As a mother to my kids, I always know that I owe them the best any good mother can offer. I raise them in the way of the Lord tutoring them on sound morals and values. I strive daily to be a better mom.
My husband is my friend, confidant, lover, partner and everything after God. I create time to discuss with him and we have imbibed a culture of discussing absolutely everything. We have “appraisal moments” on our relationship. One amazing thing in our relationship is that I get to know him more about him daily. I freely express my feelings on his actions or decisions he takes and I eagerly look forward to every opportunity we have to talk. Those intimate moments help me know my husband. By this, our relationship has really improved.
What has really changed my life this year?
Being a Pastor’s wife added a new level of responsibility to me. I am in full support of his ministry seeing myself as a co-worker with him and other members of the church doing the Father’s business. In this part of the world, so much is required of a Pastor’s wife but I prefer not to be noticed so I delegate responsibilities and function effectively in my unit. I do not interfere in anything outside of my place of service except I am invited.
Though my Husband and I preside over this local assembly, the church still has a system that runs itself. Yes we are leaders but we have a role to raise future leaders, keeping in mind that the kingdom work is everybody’s business. We all are co-laborers with God.
This year, God has made a huge difference in my life and I have also participated in life changing programs which add positively to me. God also blessed me with three godly family friends cum neighbors who are a product to prayers. In all, I’m inspired to be a virtuous woman to my husband and an exemplary mom to my children. I know I can be different from the world but I long to make an impact in my world for God as years roll by.
